Supporting the Community, Akademia’s Outreach: Think We not Me

Athens, GA – In response to the current situation surrounding the outbreak of COVID-19, Akademia Brewing Company has decided to be proactive in supporting community members in need during these tough and uncertain times.

Teaming up with BottleShare, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, Akademia Brewing has formed an outreach program: Think We Not Me. “In an effort to help those less fortunate than us we’re launching this outreach program to help feed community members in need,” says Matt Casey, founder and co-owner.

Last week alone, Akademia Brewing was able to provide over 250 meals to those in need through partnerships with Our Daily Bread and Downtown Ministries, Family Promise of Athens, and the Salvation Army with special thanks to the Olli Group at University of Georgia.

And that’s not it… with even more supporters reaching out and an additional 380 meals planned for this week, we hope this momentum continues to grow and allows Akademia to continue supporting our beloved city of Athens.

To donate to the #ThinkWeNotMe program, you can use the following link:

So far Akademia’s GoFundMe has generated a whooping $6,685 for their community initiative, now they’re looking for additional charities or organizations that can be included in the program and are asking for your help in getting the word out!

Keep in mind even the smallest donation helps. If you’re curious as to other ways to get involved, give Akademia a call at (678) 726-2288.
